Postal Employees Band Together

Progressions Credit Union, formerly known as Spokane Postal Credit Union (SPCU), was organized in 1928. It was led by Paul Boberg, a Special Delivery Clerk at the Main Post Office in Spokane, WA. The credit union officially became state-chartered on November 27, 1933, after the state had passed the state credit union law. In 1962 SPCU merged with Railway Mail Credit Union.

Field of Membership Expands

In 2003 our field of membership at Spokane Postal was expanded to include those who live, work, worship or attend school in Washington state. In 2004, the Board of Directors approved changing the name from Spokane Postal Credit Union to Progressions Credit Union, to better reflect its changing membership as the credit union continued to grow well beyond the original field of membership.

Listening to Members

Progressions Credit Union over the years has added a wide range of products and services to meet the needs of its membership, such as ATM/Debit Cards (well before other credit unions in Spokane), its own ATM machines, banking by phone, online banking, bill payer, mobile banking and more.

Even with all the conveniences of Total Access, Progressions Credit Union continues to offer something quite rare that many other financial institutions don’t: personal service from loyal, long-term employees.

Many of the employees of Progressions Credit Union have been with the credit union for 25 years or more. They will call you by name and due to their experience, be able to offer you financial solutions when you need them.

When you become a member you get to experience the Progressions Credit Union difference.
