Ready to protect

your identity?

Ensure your identity is protected.

Although there are many precautions we all take to keep our identity safe, no one is fully secure. There continues to be a rise in rampant data breaches that affect millions of records and put consumers at great risk of identity theft. In fact, identity theft is consistently the number one complaint to the Federal Trade Commission.

Identity theft can happen to anyone regardless of your age, income, where you live or how careful you are.

Restoring your identity on your own can be stressful and time-consuming. This process can be so draining that it leaves people to manage the aftermath of identity theft for years to come, including fraudulent bills, collections activity, damaged credit and even criminal records.

We want to make sure none of our members are ever the victims of this horrible crime. That is why we teamed up with one of the nation’s most trusted names in Identity Theft Protection. This partnership helps provide all members with a comprehensive pool of Identity Theft Research, Remediation, and Recovery Services.

5 Tips to Keep Your Money Safe

Strong Passwords

Using common passwords like 123456, a pet’s name or ‘password’; is a big mistake. Don’t make it easy for hackers to get into your account. Make sure you use numbers, symbols and a mixture of upper and lower-case characters to keep you safe. There are many sites like Strong Password Generator that can help you to choose a complex password.

Avoid using Free Wifi

Although using free wifi hotspots can be tempting, it can also be unsafe. For example, never access online banking or other payment sites on free wifi.

Protect your email

Be very cautious if you receive an email from an unknown recipient or an email with attachments you did not expect. Clicking on attachments can download computer viruses.

Keep your PIN Number Safe

When shopping or using an ATM, inspect the card reader for damage and cover your PIN from prying eyes. Never keep your pin with your card or use your birthday or birth year as a PIN.

Cash is Not Always King

Avoid carrying too much cash. If you are robbed or lose cash you are out of luck. If you lose a debit card you can cancel it before too much damage is done.

With cybercrime continuing to rise, you can never be too safe when protecting your identity and personal information. Find the right plan that meets your needs. You never know when this faceless crime will strike you or a loved one. We will help protect you on your financial journey.
